Treasure Island – Blackjack Paradise? When it opened on the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road in 1993, Treasure Island was a Mirage Resorts property intended to attract young parents and their children. The visits to Treasure Island are usually to play blackjack or for a drink or seven. One of the most fun nights I’ve had at Treasure Island was a day and night of drinking beer from a skull mug and being on the wrong side of an epic Denver Broncos comeback win.
